The Irish College of GPs / HSE Clinical Lead for Infection Control, Dr Scott Walkin, has urged parents of young children to have their babies vaccinated against whooping cough, or pertussis, as a peak in the number of cases is evident.

The College publishes new sepsis update to assist GPs in the detection and management of suspected sepsis in adults. 

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Irish College of GPs held a series of special events on Friday, 27 September at the Convention Centre, Dublin. 

Conference held in conjunction with WONCA Europe 2024, the largest gathering of GPs in Europe with over 2,300 doctors attending.
