Dr. Brendan Payne introduces this year's national trainers conference, "Power of Positive Training." Keep reading for full details.
The theme of this year's conference is "Power of Positive Training," which is being hosted by the Cork GP Trainers, led by Dr Brendan Payne and colleagues.
A keynote address on "International Perspectives on Primary Care and Transformative Role of I.T. on Healthcare Delivery" will be delivered by Dr Andy Philips, REO of HSE South West, and Priscilla Lynch, Integrated Healthcare Area Manager
Friday's sessions will include Allergy in Primary Care, The Role of the Coroner, Small Group Dynamics—demystified, Colic, Crying, and survival, Steps for Trainees Applying for the Contraception Certificate, the Top 10 golden nuggets in ADHD, and much more.
Saturday's sessions will focus on a Wellness Symposium for Patients, Trainees, and even ourselves as Trainers. It includes a session on Humour in Primary Care and how an innovative Dietician can break the mould by not focusing on Dieting!
An art exhibition inspired by real Doctor-Patient moments by Dr Stephen Murphy, a Cork artist who grew up near Bruce Springsteen in New Jersey, will also be on display at the conference.
In a time when we are all busy, rest assured that this conference is well worth the trip. All are welcome to visit us in the Southern Capital—it will be great to connect with as many of us as possible, especially our new Trainer colleagues.
See you all there..!
