The North Dublin City GP Training Scheme is looking for a GP Trainer to join their program. This is a great chance for experienced GPs who want to teach and guide new family doctors.
About the Role:
As a GP Trainer, you will teach GP Trainees for four years. You will help them learn clinical skills and advise them on the administrative and organizational parts of general practice.
The ideal candidate will be a MICGP in good standing with at least three years of full-time general practice experience. They must also be a Principal in a GMS practice, with authority over the Registrar's supervision.
The North Dublin City GP Training Programme prepares GPs to work in underserved communities and with marginalized groups. Trainers with experience in these areas are especially encouraged to apply. It would also be helpful if GP practices offer OST treatment to patients, so trainees can gain expertise in this field.
Benefits:
- Opportunity to help develop the next generation of general practitioners.
- Work with a supportive and collaborative team.
- Competitive pay.
This is a great opportunity for GPs who are committed to teaching and making a difference in their communities.
If you are interested in this role, please email Caroline Keating at northdublincity.scheme@icgp.ie for an application form. The deadline for applications is January 29, 2025.
